Was wardriving SLCC a while back and had found 15+ APs all WEPd. I decided to keep driving around and really blanket the place, just short of 4 wheeling over the quad. I came around to the automotive building where you learn to change your oil and pump gas or something and I found my last AP unWEPd. I guess persistence pays off. If you run into an area you are driving and see most of the APs WEPd...don't give up. Keep going, someone is bound to have screwed up.

I was just thinking the other day, when I setup my network after moving back in with grandma in a little townhome overpriced yuppi villiage in Valencia CA, you don't even need to Wardrive anymore.

With ISPs pushing wireless on users and not anything about security, when I had mine setup (no WEP, just MAC whitelist, no info really that sensative get's transmitted) and I went to get my wife's computer online, 12 fukin APs visible from my grandma's loft! only 2 had WEP.
