Dell Inspiron 5100 orinoco gold card Hawking high gain omni directional antenna fitted to orinoco Win XP Pro/Slackware 10 net stumbler/kismet access to T-Mobil hotspots 300 W power inverter need: gas money better driver GPS and maby a red bull or two --- my real problem is that in my neighborhood alone there are 47 AP's and on some random days on my balcony i can get 65 or so...there seems to be some kind of deal with COX around here, there are plenty of Linksys routers with the admin password set as admin still, some are WAP very few are MAC whitelist mine included, and even less have both. net stubmler seems to pick up more ap's than kismet

I haven't really been wardriving yet, but I've hopped on some networks when I'm downtown these days, and some are unsecured.
My equipment is as follows: Apple iBook 512mb RAM 40 gig hdd Airport Extreme KisMAC iStumbler Decent battery life I've got a friend that wants to go sometime but he just moved so getting together may be an issue. He's got a DC to AC power converter so the batteries don't die. I'm missing a GPS for Mac that's inexpensive. I want to drive around my neighborhood and help my neighbors secure their networks. I once got on a neighbor's WiFi who didn't secure it and had named it after their last name so I knew exactly who it was.
