Thats exactly why I had to move, Utah economy is definatly in the shitter and I work in the IT industry so thats even harder to find work in utah for what I do, Utah is a beautiful place, I love the fact that I could drive 5 minutes and go camping in the mountains.

one of my wife's best friends lives in SLC. We visited her about 2 years ago, and i can't begin to tell you how cool SLC is. Having the mountains all around you is dope. SLC has some sweet local shops and stores. Red Bones (called something else now i think) BBQ was the shit. And your bars are bad ass. If you want suckage, try coming to Des Moines, Iowa somtimes, then see if you still don't like SLC

SLC can rock more than any other city on this planet. It is all in how you look at it. If you think SLC sucks, then it will suck. If you think it rocks, then it will rock. There.

There are a million things to do in Salt Lake. I've lived in several other places (including Hawaii), and travelled all over the states, and I chose to buy a house here.
Everywhere else I go, I miss Salt Lake. - Eric

Hmmm..... I don't live in UT or salt lake city, but i went out there on friday and it was pretty neat. i like that the view is beautiful, the people are not all assholes (just like 1/2 of them) and there are some cool things to do if you like wangan racing or possible dirt biking i bet you could have a lot of fun. I regret not going to a bar on saturday, but i was driving too fast on the way there and back and went over my budget for gas (lol, 700miles+ and a V8 = ouch in the $$$ department). On the other hand, i love my native town of LB. It's dirty, more that 80% of the people here are assholes and are stoned as fuck, but there are also really nice parks, you can go to the beah in like 15 minutes, you can also go to the desert or mountains within 1 hour. So i like it.
conclusion: whoever said a city is what you make of it is right... just my opinion P.S. you guys have too many cops
