Laci Peterson + Lori Hacking Murders…updates

Has anyone noticed the strong similarities between the two current murder investigations for Laci Peterson and Lori Hacking? For one, both cases involve the husband as investigator’s primary suspects. Both Scott Peterson and Mark Hacking also have a history of lying to their spouses…with Scott admitting an affair with another woman (Amber Frey) and Mark having lied about his career and schooling for years.

With so much currently going on with both trials, (such as the judge in the Peterson case putting the trial on hold because of new found evidence, and the investigators in the Hacking murder digging a landfill each day looking for the body of Lori Hacking) I thought to start a discussion group here and see what everyone’s opinions are.

I also wanted to mentioned that Court TV just announced that Nancy Grace (I love this lady) will be keeping us updated on both trials through a live nightly broadcasts next week, at 8pm each night (Monday – Thursday). For those following either or both cases, this helps us stay one day ahead of what get printed in the newspapers. Perhaps we can use the topics she brings up as sources of discussion here as well.

I haven't read any books on psychology, but I've heard from people and my own mother (who has spoken to people at the YCC) about husbands like that. At least in my father's case, they are control freaks who go nuts when the wife tries to think or do things for herself. Even if you catch them red handed doing something wrong, they flip out if you demand an explanation or point it out to them. I think this may apply to the Hackings murder, but I don't know anything about the other one. I've had direct experience with having a psycho father, and it's similar to being a female in an abusive relationship. Thankfully, he didn't fuck me (the ugly cunt), but as far as physical violence and domination of wills it was about the same. I'm curious as to whether this kind of domestic abuse is rising both by female and male attackers. I guess I'll google for the YCC homepage and see if they have links. Oh, and I've heard that people like my father are basically really similar in their actions and psycholical profile. I don't think Hackings was abusive up until recently but I guess the news will tell us. Perhaps some people hold that psychoness inside until they're put on the spot. Like I said, I'm just speculating since I have no education as far as this goes.

Criminalistics suggest that this is an emergent behavior directly correlated to the way the males in their lives behaved around them. With each successive generation, the behavior gets worse. But its only emerges when they acquire a mate, because that is where they saw the behavior directed. So they begin to do the same things they saw, until it eventually surpasses what they saw their fathers, uncles, grandfathers..., doing. When the spouse begins to show signs of independence from the abuser, the abusers behavior is exaggerated, and it starts a cycle that eventually goes from subtle comments to horrible physical and/or sexual abuse to even rape and murder. Its pretty textbook with Mark Hacking, but with Scott Peterson, its not as clear, his seems to be more erratic, but still present.

That's some scarey shit. Hey, I'm thinking of getting married someday. There aren't many women like that, are there?

Why get married? Fuck that antiquated institution. Marriage is dead. Just shack up.

I've heard that, even from females. I'm all for meeting someone and shacking up. Of course, I'd need to meet someone that just wants to shack up. Hmmm I guess it's time to go to more college activities or something. Oh, I guess it depends on who I fall for. If I meet someone and all they wanna do is get married, it's going to be a pain to get them to change their minds and shack up. Well, I could always do the thing where you live with each other for a while to see if you still wanna make it permanent. A couple years should work.
