Trip-hop duo Bitter:Sweet formed in Los Angeles and features vocalist Shana Halligan and producer (and founding member of Supreme Beings of Leisure) Kiran Shahani. The two had lived just one block away from each other and had even recorded in the same studio before meeting via an online ad. Bitter:Sweet released its debut, The Mating Game, on Quango in April 2006. In additional to this project, Shahani's credits include music for films and television and remixes for such artists as Marilyn Manson, while Halligan has had several compositions in television and film as well as performing on such programs as Boston Legal.
