Traffic buh buh, what is it good...
I decided today that war is much like traffic, no one can say who really started it or why it began. People drive by the aftermath of its apparent cause, full of speculation and opinion but if they weren’t part of it they can never really say for sure. Lets say for instance there is a two car pile up that shut down a lane on a major highway, you might assume that they (the two respective drivers) where the cause but what if a third-party cut one of them off and sped away never to experience or even know about what they had created. Everyone can recall being in traffic at one point or another it’s the same as most country’s memory of war. Often it is just one or two people who are the catalyst for such an event. It’s generally something insignificant that starts the wheels of the war machine .A rude gesture from one party to another, an unintended incursion into another person’s space or lane. Racism, arrogance, stupidity and miscommunication or lack there of all serves as a match for the powder keg. Some people go looking for it; others intensify it after it’s found. Many people get paid to deal with some aspect of it weather it be cleanup or crowd control and let us not forget dotcom Dan in the sky reporting from his 12fps sat phone on troop movements on I-5. But the most similar thing about war and traffic is that they will probably never stop happening as long as people (and transportation for that matter) still exist.
Does this inherently mean that these forces are a constant? Death, taxes, war and traffic the four horsemen of human existence you could say. To answer my question though I would say have no, it may be somewhat idealistic as well as naive of me but if I don’t resolve to hope for peace am I any better than that of rubber necker who slows down to watch the carnage on CNN? Doing nothing to help the problem only serving to amplify it. Not to say one person of 14,000 protesters can do much to stop war, I cant stop traffic, neither can you but perhaps one day with enough intelligences and work and a little luck we all might be able to figure someway to.
In closing I have say that I don’t consider my self a hippie nor an idealist or pacifist. I am smart enough to understand the reason of this war and have no comment on that reason's validity, more so I wanted to state that witch I find more important, the search and acknowledgment of those things that create war in general. After all who want to be stuck in traffic for the rest of our existence.
Thats all for now ,This is my first post on the main page so be nice.
