How do you make a stripper smile?
There are times when music is good, and there are times when the beauty of silence reigns supreme. Maybe it's my habit of music that has cursed my writing. One song in a continuous loop only helps to produce the same story - a continuous circle of sorts, like life if you are not careful. It has been quite some time since I have taken a moment to sit and fill you in on how the other half live. I have planned and scrapped a many `o' tale and just taken refuge, hiding from the world, hiding from my work. I was content with this up until the other night when I got an e-mail informing me that someone had just made a donation. Now the last time I spewed a bunch of words across the screen I damned those that bitched about my lack off attention on the site as of late, since they aren't paying me, they can't expect much - well someone paid me. I was all ready for bed, I had just enjoyed the company of my magnificent woman throughout a movie and I was prepared to retire in to dreamland with thoughts of a wonderful breakfast that she had just spoken to me about. But before I do, there are a few things that I must do... If you took the time to donate, then I must take the time to respond. In fact I feel obligated - it's just my nature. So I thank you for hiring me tonight to entertain and I am sure a few other bored souls might too. The digiCam project, week 36. The digiCam project, week 37 - I did not take many pictures yet again. Most of the week I remained busy and the weekend was preoccupied with another photo project. Sunday night, a few of us gathered to celebrate Serpents birthday and a good portion of that was spent in a strip club and as we proved during Marty's bachelor party, strip clubs frown on shooting photo and video inside of their establishment. Since I didn't take pictures and not being overly entertained I learned that I have a talent - I can fold dollar bills in to little freestanding George Washington figures. Well the first one I folded I placed on the side of the stage. Not only did the dancer smile, but she left it there for her whole set, carefully toting it off when she departed the limelight. I did try to make up for my lack of photos, combining efforts with Gil and Katie to bring you a bit of frontline coverage for the Fourth Annual International Tattoo Convention. In other news, a big drawback the past couple of weeks has been my cameras performance. It took a couple of spills and it has been acting up. Focus, lighting, everything - a mess. And then it was dropped yet again. I heard the circuitry within cry, letting out little, blood curdling screams. It knows it's time has come to bid farewell, and soon it shall be replaced. Well today it was replaced; I have taken out insurance on just about everything I own because I tend to break things. To hold this pleasurable piece of fine crafted Asian machinery in my hand gives me inspiration to shoot again. And not like that idiot in Trolley Square (who by the way made it so that I could not get my fix of beer and some of the finest wings in the valley). I am sure that their will be a gaggle of odd pictures to come as I begin to explore the features of this camera, and if I get time I will start some American vs. Bosnian holy war for stopping the flow of life, liberty and wings. Well Daniel Johnston's rendition of "I saw her standing there" has reminded me that I must clean up and get to bed. Thanks for stopping in, keep the word of mouth alive and keep fighting to live life without any boundaries - it's the only thing that will set you free.
