There was a report on NPR this morning about the medicine-cabinet drugs thing. The reporter asked the specialist "So what kind of drugs are these kids abusing and what kind of effects do they have?" and the specialist said somthing to the effect of "Oh, if you take 16 tablets of over-the-counter allergy medication you can get strong hallucinations that can last up to 24 hours! You can get high off cold medicine too! It says "take 4 in 24 hours" and they just take more than that!"

My first thought was that if you're against kids taking these things to get high, it was kind of silly to them what to take and how much for what effect.

Reminded me of how after September 11th there were all these strategists on the radio saying things like "our ports are totally insecure and our nuclear power plants are unguarded, as are our water supplies. These are all potential attack vectors for terrorists. If a terrorist wanted to compromise these things, it'd be really easy!"

I used to smoke pot all the time then it started giving me panic attacks so i quit. I haven't smoked it in years. I had fun getting high good times .
