Four more years...
I am so bummed. Another 4 years of Bush is enough to bum anyone out. I am just so disapointed in the results, I can't complain I did my part and now I have realized that things need to get bad for them to get better. Four more years of Bush is four more years of chances for him to fuck shit up and maybe, just maybe, get impeached. Maybe it's four more years for the "Culture War" to have a chance to turn into a real war. Maybe it's four more years for the U.S. to come closer to becoming a religous state. Four more years where it will be okay malign homosexuals. What ever four more years is to come, it's four more years of motivation to move to Canada. Which brings me to another question, why do the cool countries to live in have such icky weather?

a final thought
I could go on and on about Bush and his bullshit. However someone else pretty much summed it up for me.

haha, no shit. Honduras and Costa Rica don't sound to bad, but who knows when the US will take some interest in them for profit. You have to give props to the Canadians, though. When one of their territories wanted to cede from them they voted on it instead of sending in the troops. Hmmm, sounds like democracy.

Four more years, four more wars.
Ummm, here in Vancouver, the weather is probably nicer than it is in SLC. We have nice long hot summers, with lots of coastal areas for surfin and nude beaches and shit. The winters rarely get cold enough for more than a few inches of snow, which melt away within a couple days. We're having a vote next year to put through massive voting reforms which should balance out the representation of each citizen to a less party oriented system. I've offered my services to a young lady from washington state as a 'husband', since she wants the fuck outta the states. I think y'all need to start looking for 'wives' up here. And for any of you mormon polygamists who just can't deal with only one wife, I should mention Bountiful, BC. Google it and see if that doesn't turn yer crank you freak The cops here don't hassle you for smoking weed. You can get strong beer and hard liquor in every bar, pub and restaurant. The legal drinking age here is 19. 18 in some provinces. Good universities and colleges. The only problem is jobs. We don't have a huge glut of employment right now. However, if you have solid technical experience, it shouldn't be that hard. We have a huge neighborhood full of punks and hippies quite close to downtown vancouver. BC has everything from desert to rainforest climates depending on where you are. If you like living in the mountains, the rockies do extend all the way north. You should come to Vancouver. It's like Seattle, but without all those anal laws you Americans have.

Good thing you don't have renounce your citizenship to study abroad, live abroad, etc...
It's funny that you need permission to no longer be an American citizen. Very funny. Sure doesn't sound like the land of the free to me.

I can understand why they are reluctant to release your citizenship before you have citizenship someplace else. I'm sure if you took the time and effort to naturalize someplace else, they'd be happy to let you go.
Some blow hard ex-marine who is upset with policy should really pick and country and naturalize, rather than just burning his passport. The fuckwit also seems to always return to the US. He's about as smart as the rest of the human shields that went to Iraq. Hopefully someone makes him a grease spot. Dr. Faustus If a man be drunk overnight, the devil cannot hurt him in the morning. |

But for the ex-marine you have to do it smarter than that. Being an investor you can get citizenships from other countries, you normally have to invest in other countries. There are also certain law firms you should go through to renounce your citizenship. There is one in New York that has an outstanding track record for clients that have successfully renounced their citizenship. I have it on my computer somewhere? You can also do a little maneuver and become a political diplomat, usually for country officials and/or international relations. You become a diplomat and they will give you a passport. Politicians do this frequently. True that the U.S. wants to keep you from leaving the country. In addition, what the article said about taxes, more and more countries are starting to do this –collect taxes abroad from citizens- but the U.S. has always done this. The Sovereign Society has a free, almost daily newsletter, it’s pretty good. http://www.sovereignsociety.com/vmembers.php?nid=900 |

omg you would rather ditch your country because its not how you want it, over trying to change it to how you want it. you cant get anywhere in life by complaining or by running from everything you dont like. write a letter to your state rep. if you want something changed, dont flee the country. damn pussies.
