Hero of the Day: Michael Moore
Redskins lose in last home game before election. Since 1936, this has predicated a loss for the incumbent president. See this Snopes article for more details. Even Canadians aren't safe from the draconian Patriot Act. |

Whatever happened to Moore's "Bribing People To Vote" scandal? Did he have to pay a fine or what?
I Liked Michael Moore in Team America. He was almost as good as Matt Damon. -BTW, if you haven't seen it already, you can download and view Fahrenheit 9/11 at this link here: http://marc.perkel.com/archives/000468.html At this moment the link works, and only for the next couple days.

uh...haven't ANY of you heard about the fact that Fahrenheit 911 was completely fake. Moore just cut and pasted different segments of interviews that he himself may not have even been involved in. His movie is complete bullshit.

Fahrenheit 911
Quote:
Apathy and ignorance will ultimately destroy our world if not put in check. I'm glad some people can see through all the bullshit. It comes down to this: If you think oil is worth dying over, and more tax breaks for the wealthy is what this country needs, by all means, vote Bush. Otherwise, if you think the US depends way too much on foreign oil, and if you believe in science and basic civil rights like healthcare and equal pay for women, you should vote Kerry. Logically thinking people will make the right choice. Those who are afraid will probably vote for Bush. Oh and all of you bagging on MM, I don't see you doing anything worthwhile, get off your fat asses, do something better, and then I can respect your opinion.

Moore is an editing master, that's about it. Funny thing about it some people believe his bullshit movies. Look at Bowling For Columbine, it has been ripped to shreds. Glad I have not read his book(s).

I guess that shows where "their" priorities lie. Anyone who can vote for the worst environmental president in history obviously has no regard for the world we live in. Bomb first, ask questions later... The only "right" they have seem to have a cow over is the right to bear arms.... anything else, oh hey -we can sign that right away for the good of our country (I'm talking about the Patriot Act in case you couldn't tell). I'm guessing that's why you dont like Bowling for Columbine, because it exposes America for the fearful, gun-toting, hate-mongering society that it is (no thanks to our media). Bowling for Columbine ripped to shreds? By Who? The ignorant. Check this site for the truth: Bush Reality Check

If you were referring that I'm republican, you are mistaken. Look at what I have posted to Hektik and you will see where I lie. Quite in the middle, I have posted political jumbo from both sides. One thing I like about economists, or investors is they don't really care either way about politics, that isin't necessarily their goal because they have to make money in up or down markets, regardless who is in control. True investors, or trend followers ultimately don't care, republican or democrat. It's the bottom line, it allows them to be more neutral, and watch what is going on. They stay out of the fray when making money. I posted the economist article because I thought it was informative and intelligent, that's about it. The Patriot act, look who posted the link for "Unconstitutional" -and others- Unconstitutional which is a really good movie concerning the Patriot act and liberal views. Me. Yeah, I probably went off a bit too hard. I do listen to the other side too, and I did read the article. I guess my point was that money shouldn't matter more than human life. You're either for the war or against it. Neutral can be just as dangerous because you're not really doing anything either way. I do disagree with your opinions about Michael Moore's movies, most people who say his movies are bullshit usually haven't even seen the movie(s). But hey... you are entitled to your opinion, as am I, and I'm sure we can at least agree on that.
Taking the troll suit off now, thanks.

I agree that money shouldn’t matter more than human life. If fact, from most investors point of view I believe that is true. You see, it isin’t always about the bottom line, all those power brokers and people with money, it’s not all that important too them all of the time. They do it because they love it and it is not always about the money. It may look that way, but the harder you look the more you will see. You cannot keep up a drive for money seeking only money, it’s an empty drive. You need something stronger, more concrete, love of what you are doing, that’s what it is. It may be hard to see, but it is there.
I also listen to the other side, which is why I didn’t vote. Because there are more than two candidates for president and there are larger issues at stake. I didn’t vote because I felt I didn’t know enough about it all, or the other candidates. If I don’t know enough about the issues and so fourth, I will take some time and get the information, as long as it takes. We can also agree on that bzarONE, your opinions and mine. I accept your opinions, with no ill will. |
